National Institution for Transforming India-NITI Aayog

The National Institution for Transforming India, also called NITI Aayog, was formed via a resolution of the Union Cabinet on January 1, 2015. NITI Aayog is the premier policy ‘Think Tank’ of the Government of India, providing both directional and policy inputs. While designing strategic and long term policies and programmes for the Government of India, NITI Aayog also provides relevant technical advice to the Centre and States.

      Title: Children Registered in Anganwadi Centers (AWC) Register (Quick Evaluation Study)   Description: Anganwadi centre provides basic health care in Indian villages. It is a part of the Indian public health-care system. Basic health-care activities include contraceptive counseling and supply, nutrition education and supplementation, as well as pre-school activities.       Title: Weight measurement of sample children (Quick Evaluation Study)   Description: Anganwadi centre provides basic health care in Indian villages. It is a part of the Indian public health-care system. Weight measurement of children is used to measure malnutrition, Malnutrition is defined in three category first is Stunted, meaning the person has a low height for her age - an indication of chronic malnutrition over a long period of time, Second is Wasted, meaning the person has a low weight for her height - an indication of acute malnutrition in the child at present, third is Underweight, meaning the person has a low weight for her age - a indication of general malnutrition. This data contains the insight of weight measurement of children enrolled in Aganwadi Centers of different states and union territories.
